Background

HOPS, Croatian Transmission System Operator commissioned this strategic project in Croatia, which will secure the energy supply on the Adriatic islands while also making significant environmental contribution by reducing the environmental footprint of the Adriatic islands. 

Technical Information & Execution

Hellenic Cables, the cable segment of Cenergy Holdings, signed a contract with major Croatian contractor Končar Group for the supply of 12 Km 110 kV submarine cables, accessories and related services as part of a project by the Croatian Transmission System Operator for the replacement of existing outdated cable lines in the Adriatic Sea.

The cables were manufactured in Hellenic Cables’ state-of-the-art submarine cable production plant in Corinth, Greece, a world-class manufacturing facility for high and extra-high voltage submarine cables for offshore applications. 

The project was successfully completed.
