Identity of the Data Controller
HELLENIC CABLES S.A. HELLENIC CABLE INDUSTRY SINGLE MEMBER SOCIETE ANONYME (hereinafter referred to as “Hellenic Cables S.A.” or the “Company”), having its registered seat at 2-4 Mesogeion Avenue, Athens Tower, 2nd Building, Athens 11527, Greece, processes personal data of yours upon entry to these facilities in order to apply access control to these premises, maintain the security of authorized personnel and visitors as well as the security of the premises themselves, and to ensure compliance with applicable legislation and the fulfillment of contractual or legal obligations towards third parties and/or external partners and fulfillment of contractual or legal obligations of third parties and/or external partners towards the Company.
What Personal Data is being Processed
The personal data being processed is:
- CCTV footage upon entering and circulating into the premises as allowed by law, to address our legitimate interests, namely for the purpose of securing persons and assets. We collect only video/ photo data for areas that have been identified as bearing a risk of illegal activities. We do not focus on areas where individuals’ right to privacy might be disproportionally affected by CCTV coverage.
- Information about employees of our contractors/subcontractors entering the premises such as name and surname, company, date and time of entry and exit, purpose of entry/visit, ID/passport, vehicle registration number, signature, to address our legitimate interests, namely to enforce controlled access of individuals and vehicles that are authorized for entry into our facilities, to maintain security and fulfil our contractual obligations towards third parties and/or external partners.
- Information about drivers of professional vehicles as above as well as driving license and additional vehicle details (e.g. vehicle license, insurance or green card, KTEO) to address our legitimate interests, namely, to enforce controlled access of individuals and vehicles that are authorized for entry into our facilities, as well as to comply with applicable legislation.
- Identity information for other persons entering our premises such as name, surname, company/organization, date and time of entry and exit, purpose of visit, ID/passport number, vehicle registration number, signature to address our legitimate interests, namely, to enforce controlled access of individuals and vehicles that are authorized for entry into our facilities and to maintain security.
Who Processes Your Personal Data
Processing is performed by our Company and other Viohalco companies or collaborating third parties and subcontractors on our behalf, if so needed for ensuring the successful fulfillment of the abovementioned purposes of access control and security.
Personal data is not sold to anyone, not sent abroad or provided to any third party that is not essential for the fulfillment of the above purposes or provided for by applicable legislation. Cloud Services may be used in facilities within EU/ EEA.
Protecting your Personal Data
Our Company’s intent is to ensure that appropriate precautions exist to safeguard your personal data in any phase or location of its processing. That also includes collaborating parties when used.
Retention of Personal Data
We shall maintain the data as follows:
- For information about drivers of professional vehicles, only for the time period required to fulfill the aforementioned purposes.
- For information about employees of our contractors/subcontractors entering the premises only for the time period necessary for the fulfillment of the Company’s contractual or legal obligations towards third parties and/or external partners and in any case for no longer than 40 days from the completion of the assigned work within our facilities, except in the case of an incident during the time period of said work.
- For CCTV footage upon entering and circulating into the premises as well as for identity information of other persons entering our premises for controlled access and security purposes, for no more than 15 days, except in the case of an incident within that time period.
We may maintain however, this data further if so mandated by law, or for further legitimate interests of the Company that may arise until these interests are no longer in effect.
Profiling & your Rights as Data Subjects
No automated decision making, including profiling, takes place for your personal data.
You have the following rights:
- To be informed of the personal data we process and request for a copy,
- To request the data being corrected, deleted, object to the processing of this data or ask for restrictions on its processing.
Note that in some cases:
- this may lead to our inability to allow your entry and circulation within our premises,
- the above rights may be subject to certain exemptions, where we may still need to process this data further.
